A automobile belonging to a man accused of murdering profound teen Nikitta Grender was identified three times by a CCTV expert, Newport Crown Court has heard.

Matthew Cass, of the Transport Research Laboratory, picked out the automobile belonging to suspect Carl Whant, 27.

Ms Grender, 19, died two weeks before she was due to give bieing born to a girl she had already called Kelsey-May.

Mr Whant denies murder, rape, arson and kid destruction. The trial continues.

Her physique was found in her burnt-out prosaic in Broadmead Park, Lliswerry, Newport, in Feb 2011.

In cross-examination, Mr Cass concluded with Christopher Kinch, defending, that it was possible cars of the same make and indication could be renowned from a single another by their “acquired features”.

He pronounced there was no set approach of substantiating vehicles and no “established good practice,” though lots of knowledge minimised the risks.

He also concurred that the reconstructions, which were staged in the summer, could not just replicate the conditions of 5 February.
