But with the Disco Decade almost 40 years in the rearview mirror, the era witnessed his inevitable irony-driven comeback. So, if the Dodge Grand Caravan Kelley Blue Book joined long-term test fleet, it was greeted with a bit more enthusiasm than you would expect from a minivan. That enthusiasm, mainly because of an abundance of additional features, even against hope that the Dodge Grand Caravan could serve as a portal to another time when custom vans for cool kids and not just evil act was a loner. Sure, the Grand Caravan does a good job hauling children grow ballet or mulch home from the store, but it does just as well as an impromptu lounge or for blasting Lynyrd Skynyrd while cruising on the highway with your old lady. Can modern minivans offer enough retro-fabulous mojo to fill the void by custom van fad of the 1970s?
