CAR ACCIDENT KILLS MACOMB TEEN, HOSPITALIZES DRIVER
A one-car accident Friday south of Bushnell claimed the hold up of a single McDonough County teen and left another in critical condition.
According to state police reports, Remington Neeley, 14, of Macomb died about 6:40 p.m..
The northbound automobile in which Neeley was a passenger reportedly mislaid control since of snowy conditions along 2000 East, a tenth of a mile north of 1700 North. The automobile left the road and became airborne, distinguished a pellet garbage bin before entrance to rest on the roof tiles on the road.
Both Neeley and the driver, Kasarah Riden, 17, of Bushnell, were trapped in the car and had to be extricated by fire personnel.
Riden was taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where he was listed in critical condition.
Police contend Riden was wearing her seatbelt, though Neeley wasn’t.
