ASCOT VALE: FALLING BRANCH KNOCKS MAN OFF MOTORBIKE
A MOTORCYCLIST was knocked off his bike after a branch strike his head in Ascot Vale yesterday.
Paramedic Ben Coyte pronounced that the 48-year-old man was knocked comatose by the bend only after midday.
“We were told that the bend forsaken from about twelve metres and strike the rider on his head. Thankfully he was wearing a helmet,” he said.
Witnesses told paramedics the man was comatose for about 3 minutes.
The man was pang suffering in his right shoulder and his hands felt odd, though that privileged up quickly.
He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a fast condition.
Mr Coyte pronounced the man was propitious to have not been more seriously injured.
“If the bend had strike a pedestrian they may not have been so fortunate,” Mr Coyte said.
