For former motorbike designer Jason Monopoli, fashion was not utterly the career he had in thoughts for son Torenzo, who is operative on a design with a tip New Zealand label.
But his single-minded 7-year-old, who has been drafting designs given age 5, is full of surprises.

And the young engineer is already as flashy as his garments, receiving out the Nelson conform show Nouveau Design Award’s under-10 difficulty final year.
“The first time we took him to [fabric store] Spotlight, he lay down on the belligerent hyperventilating, it was so much, it was such overload.”
Mr Monopoli pronounced Torenzo regularly picked up on what women were wearing – “he loves glamorous, pleasing women” – though his conform sense did not brief over into his own wardrobe.
“He wears long-sleeved blue thermals and pants, summer, winter – infrequently striped thermals. It’s interesting, because he’s so opposite from what he creates.”

He pronounced he was gratified with how his ultimate pattern was going: “It’s really beautiful, I consider it will be a winner.”
And the youngster, who spends his nights forgetful up conform ideas when he should be asleep, knows the citation he is headed.
“I’m starting to be a world important designer.”
